Job Description
- Monitors all equipment on the site and makes necessary adjustments and repairs to maintain smooth running.
- Ensures that project targets are met regarding efficiency, minimum wastage, and operating rates.
- Ensuring that machinery and equipment are kept in good working order.
- Ensuring that machinery and equipment meet safety regulations.
- Repairing and/or replacing broken or defective components.
- Checking repaired components and machinery to ensure normal functionality has been restored.
- Documenting maintenance activities.
- Inspecting equipment and conducting routine maintenance.
- Implements the regular preventive maintenance program, and recommends any additional needs not included in the preventive maintenance programs.
- Performs additional tasks/modifications on project equipment, as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
- Anticipates/repairs any defects which may cause project stoppage.
- Prepares reports on any comments or complaints on machine operation.
- Performs any other duties assigned by direct superior. Carrying out maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment.
- Performing periodic inspections on machinery and automated systems.
- Scheduling planned and preventive maintenance work.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering.
- 7 to 10 working years’ experience as a mechanical maintenance engineer.
- Worked on Diesel Generators.
- A transportation background is required.
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical systems.
- Ability to read system schematics.
- Understanding of safety and equipment procedures.
- Ability to work with heavy equipment.
